Assistant Chief Security Officer at Bakangizo – Abuja

Bakangizo Pharmacy and Stores is recruiting a full-time Assistant Chief Security Officer in Abuja. The position supports security operations, supervises personnel, monitors surveillance systems and helps prevent loss and protect the company’s assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Security Officer in coordinating security operations across company locations.
• Supervise security personnel and ensure strict compliance with security procedures.
• Monitor CCTV operations, access control, and security surveillance systems.
• Investigate incidents involving theft, pilferage, fraud, security breaches, and other security concerns.
• Conduct routine security inspections and risk assessments.
• Implement effective loss prevention and asset protection measures.
• Monitor staff and visitor movements and ensure compliance with access control procedures.
• Prepare security incident reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate security personnel deployment, duty rosters, and performance monitoring.
• Liaise with relevant law enforcement agencies when necessary.
• Support security awareness training and emergency response procedures.

Requirements

• OND / HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology, Security Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant security experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Previous security experience in a retail organisation, supermarket, warehouse, or large commercial establishment is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of CCTV surveillance, access control, loss prevention, and incident investigation.
• Proven ability to supervise security personnel and manage security incidents effectively.
• Excellent observation, reporting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of discipline, integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
• Previous experience in the military, police, or other recognised security services is an added advantage.
