Assistant Manager at Misan & Co – Palmgrove, Lagos

Misan & Co is recruiting a full-time, on-site Assistant Manager in Palmgrove, Lagos, to support venue operations, guest experiences, event readiness and staff coordination.

Venue readiness and event operations

• Support the Hospitality Operations Manager in day-to-day venue operations and guest service.
• Carry out opening, readiness and closing checks; inspect guest areas, restrooms, furniture, equipment and supplies.
• Review event briefs and coordinate layouts, service materials, staffing, setup and preparations before each booking.
• Supervise the Housekeeper, event support staff and vendors during preparation, service and breakdown.

Guest service and operational control

• Welcome guests, anticipate routine needs, monitor event schedules and service quality, and handle reasonable requests.
• Escalate complaints, delays, safety concerns and decisions outside the role’s authority.
• Inspect and record inventory, equipment condition, maintenance requirements, incidents and handovers.
• Ensure rooms are cleaned, reset and secured after bookings, support assigned booking administration and client follow-up, and maintain standards when the manager is absent.

Requirements

• At least one year of relevant experience in hospitality, venue operations or event coordination.
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating vendors.
• Strong organisation, attention to detail, follow-through, professional communication and judgement under pressure.
• Ability to use checklists, spreadsheets and basic reporting tools and assist practically with setup and service.
• Availability for on-site duties, weekend events and scheduled evenings.
