Associate Finance Director at Brands Optimal Limited – Ikeja, Lagos

Brands Optimal Limited is seeking an Associate Finance Director in Ikeja, Lagos. Lead financial planning, accounting, forecasting, audit, compliance and finance transformation at Brands Optimal in Ikeja.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and long-term forecasting. Oversee the end-to-end accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
• Strategic Planning: Develop and oversee the implementation of financial strategies that align with business goals and support growth initiatives. Drive finance transformation through automation, digital tools, and data and business analysis to optimize efficiency.
• Financial Reporting: Present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to stakeholders.
• Risk & Compliance: Manage internal controls, ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., tax, audit), and mitigate financial risks.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor all staff of the department, ensuring productivity and efficient operations in the department.
• Compliance & Audit: Ensure adherence to accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and manage both internal and external audit processes.
• Business Partnering: Collaborate with other departments (Client Service, Operations, Procurement, etc.) to align financial plans with organizational goals and advise senior leadership on the financial impact of business decisions and client deals.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s / M.Sc Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration. Must be a member and qualified member of ICAN or ACCA. An MBA is also preferred.
• Experience: 8 – 10 years of experience in Finance/Accounting, including managerial or leadership roles for at least 4 years.

Technical Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (modeling, pivot tables).
• Experience with ERP systems like SAP, QuickBooks, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.

Soft Skills: Strong leadership, critical thinking, ability to influence senior stakeholders, and ability to navigate complex, fast-paced environments.
