BMS / Controls Specialist at Thyaura Partners Concept Limited – Abuja

Thyaura Partners Concept Limited is seeking a BMS / Controls Specialist in Abuja to configure, inspect, integrate and troubleshoot building management, automation and control systems.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Install, configure, operate, and maintain Building Management Systems (BMS) and building automation and control systems.
• Monitor and control building services, including HVAC, lighting, ventilation, energy management, and other integrated systems.
• Configure and troubleshoot controllers, sensors, actuators, thermostats, control panels, and communication networks.
• Diagnose system faults, communication failures, and control sequence issues, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, testing, and calibration of BMS components and field devices.
• Monitor system alarms, trends, operating parameters, and performance to identify abnormalities and improve building efficiency.
• Configure and modify control sequences, setpoints, schedules, and system parameters in accordance with approved requirements.
• Integrate and troubleshoot BMS communication protocols and interfaces, such as BACnet and Modbus, where applicable.
• Support the integration of HVAC, electrical, metering, and other building systems into the central monitoring platform.
• Carry out system testing, commissioning, and functional performance checks to ensure proper operation.
• Review BMS graphics, floor plans, control schematics, and technical documentation when performing installation and maintenance works.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns, alarms, and maintenance requests affecting building automation and control systems.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, system configurations, alarms, faults, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with HVAC technicians, electricians, ELV technicians, engineers, and external contractors during maintenance and project works.
• Ensure system modifications and adjustments are properly documented and authorised.
• Follow approved safety procedures and protect system access credentials and configuration files from unauthorised access.
• Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency, system reliability, occupant comfort, and overall building performance.
• Report major faults, recurring issues, and specialist support requirements to the supervisor or management.
• Perform other related BMS, controls, and building automation duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Salary

N300,000 – N400,000 per month.
