Key responsibilities
- Transport goods to their destinations safely and on schedule.
- Inspect the vehicle before and after each route and report defects or damage.
- Observe traffic laws and employer safety procedures throughout each journey.
- Remain in contact with dispatch teams during shifts.
- Complete required records for accidents, operational issues and vehicle problems.
- Assist loaders with safe boarding or disembarking where necessary.
- Clean the vehicle interior and respond to route or stop enquiries.
