Chief Electrician Vacancy at Uniterm Nigeria Limited

Position Title: Chief Electrician.

Job Station: Rivers State.

INTRODUCTION :-

Chief Electrician job opportunity is available at Uniterm Nigeria Limited for individuals who possess relevant qualifications.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :-

• Perform planned and unplanned electrical maintenance and repairs to all equipment provided by Helix on the Q7000 in accordance with manufacturer’s manuals and maintenance and repair procedures and instructions.
• Maintain maintenance records and other reporting requirements in the planned maintenance system (ABS NS-E).
• Delegate or assign tasks to other maintenance team personnel as required
• Ensure that they are familiar with the machinery and systems so that, in an emergency situation all essential services can be safely and speedily restored. In addition, they must have a full understanding of and abide by, company procedures, policies and instructions.
• Understanding and comply with all relevant sections of the companies policies and management system
• Ensure that any information entered into the maintenance records is accurate. Their hand-over notes will encompass a comprehensive coverage of their work during the period of engagement on the vessel and they will ensure that all manuals and drawings pertaining to their work be kept up to date.
• Notify the Chief Engineer of spare gear and stores requirements.
• Be fully conversant with the relevant codes of practice.
• Keep the Chief Engineer fully informed as to the progress of any work which has been undertaken. Shall inform the Chief Engineer of any defects or problems encountered in their area of responsibility.
• Assist with survey work as directed by a Senior Officer.
• Any other duties assigned by Chief Engineer

Additional Training Requirements:

• As per Marine Master Training Matrix (HHR-MA-0013)

DESIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION :-

• Proven experience and results-oriented career and/or B Eng. or Degree equivalents in an appropriate engineering subject, unlimited as per STCW Reg.AIII2 and Reg. A. 111/2 respectively;
• Minimum of HND/B.Sc. in any Science / Engineering related field.
• Candidate must have the relevant mandataries (STCW, TBOSIET, HUET, GMDSS, OSP and All other relevant Documents for positions applied for).
• Valid IWCF/Well cap certification, Supervisory level is an added advantage.
• At least 7-15 years of Experience any the field being applied for.
• Member of a Professional Body is an added advantage
• Valid medical examination and vaccination certificates.
• Valid International Passport.
• Possess basic critical rig equipment training.
• Demonstrated ability of oral and written communications may be substituted in lieu of formal education.
