Chinese Translator at Avatar New Energy Materials Co. Limited – Kama Otto, Nasarawa

Avatar New Energy Materials Co. Limited is recruiting a full-time, on-site Chinese Translator in Kama Otto, Nasarawa State. The position supports communication between Chinese management, the production department and Nigerian employees through spoken interpretation and document translation.

Responsibilities

• Translate written documents and interpret conversations accurately between Chinese and English in both directions.
• Interpret meetings and daily site communications between Chinese managers, supervisors and Nigerian production employees.
• Help the Head of Production communicate with factory teams and monitor daily site activities.
• Translate production reports, work instructions, operational documents and technical materials.
• Explain production targets, work schedules and workplace procedures to relevant staff.
• Provide language support during technical meetings, practical training and equipment operating instructions.
• Help workers understand supervisory directions and assist with resolution of communication difficulties.
• Support constructive cultural understanding between Chinese and Nigerian colleagues.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree and two to three years’ relevant experience.
• Fluency in speaking, reading and writing both Chinese and English, with proven translation and interpretation ability.
• Previous translation experience in mining, business, industry or another technical environment is preferred.
• Spoken Hausa and ability to understand Hausa are added advantages.
• Experience studying or working in China is an advantage.
• Strong sense of responsibility, coordination and people-management skills.

Salary

• Monthly remuneration of ₦400,000–₦500,000, open to negotiation.
