English Language Teacher at Wellspring College – Lagos
Wellspring College is recruiting a full-time English Language Teacher in Lagos to deliver engaging language and literature instruction and support students’ academic development.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and teach English Language lessons aligned with Nigerian and British curricula.
- Assess learners, monitor their progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Create an inclusive classroom that encourages participation and learning.
- Work with colleagues to support pupils’ wider academic and personal development.
- Contribute to school activities, professional development and accurate academic records.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in English Education or a related field; a teaching qualification is preferred.
- At least three to five years’ teaching experience in an established secondary school.
- Ability to teach across both Nigerian and British curricular requirements.
- Strong classroom management, communication, organisation and time-management skills.
- Ability to use educational technology effectively and uphold the College’s values.
