Responsibilities

• Planning (financial planning, capital and budgeting, performance measures and systems etc.).
• Operations (team management).
• Financial Reporting (manage issuance of financial information, oversee financial reports etc.).
• Risk Management (understand the key risks, develop & monitor controls, compliance with extant laws, record keeping for audit and Govt. Agencies, management of auditors etc.).
• Budgeting / Funding (funding plans, monitor capital structure, monitor cash balances, cash forecasting etc.).

Experience and qualifications

• B.Sc. Must be a Chartered Accountant (ACA/ACCA)
• A Master’s Degree will be an added advantage, with over 10 years’ experience.
• Minimum of 5 years at a similar role as Head of Department.

Knowledge / Skills Required for the Role:

• Possess ability to use appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to guide employees towards goal achievement
• Proven experience working effectively with people of all social, economic and cultural backgrounds
• Demonstrate ability to express ideas clearly in written documents and presentations
• Possess strong analytical, organizational, management and computer skills
• Comfortable assisting team efforts
• High level of independent judgment
• Ability to maintain customer relations
• Dependability & punctuality
• Excellent command of English
• Ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
