Role overview

Genesis Group is recruiting a Fleet Manager in Port Harcourt to coordinate vehicle assets, maintenance, transport planning and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage vehicle procurement or leasing, registration, licensing and retirement across the fleet lifecycle.
• Plan preventive maintenance, urgent repairs and the work of mechanics and external repair providers.
• Coordinate routes, dispatch operations and efficient vehicle utilisation.
• Monitor driver safety, inspections and compliance with applicable transport regulations.
• Control fuel, parts, labour, insurance and other vehicle operating costs.
• Recruit, supervise and develop drivers, mechanics and related personnel.

Qualifications and skills

• A degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or a related area is preferred.
• Typically three to five years’ practical fleet, logistics or transport management experience.
• Familiarity with fleet management software, GPS tracking and fuel monitoring.
• Strong analytical, budgeting, communication and problem-solving ability.
