About the role

Head of Accounts and Finance job opportunity is available at Dominion Consulting Nigeria for individuals who possess BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Drive the company’s financial planning
• Enforce proper accounting and control methods, policies and principles
• Manage and oversee all daily and periodical operations of the Accounts and Finance Department
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial statements, and other management reports.
• Perform risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities, investments, and capital structure
• Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks
• Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with global accounting and audit standards
• Liaise and support external auditors and tax consultants of the company on statutory audit and tax matters respectively.
• Manage all internal and external business relationships (vendors, clients, bankers, investors, etc.) of the company
• Provide leadership and technical support to all team members of the Department.

Experience and qualifications

• Proven work experience as a Head of Finance, Director of Finance or similar role
• In-depth understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliation and bookkeeping
• Hands-on experience with budgeting and risk management
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models
• Proficiency in accounting software
• Solid analytical and decision-making skills
• Leadership abilities
• BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
• MSc/MBA or relevant certification (e.g. ACA, CFA/CPA) is a plus.
