Responsibilities
The Lathe & Milling Machine Operator Must be knowledgeable in:
- Machine shop and machine operation such as, Conventional Lathe, Milling Radial drilling. Shaping, Welding Tool & Cutter Grinding.
- Mechanical fault finding, checking, rectifying the function of the parts in the Machines
- Understanding and Interpreting Mechanical and Isometric drawing.
- Use of measuring instruments like Vernier caliper, Micrometer, Bore Gauge and Overall Evaluation of the Optical instruments.
- Doing all type of Fabrication work such as metal, copper, Stainless, Plastic etc..
- Designs and adjusts equipment controls to set cutting speeds, depths, and feed rates according to work specifications.
- Checking the progress of the machining process and makes all necessary adjustments when it is under performing.
- Maintaining and troubleshooting machines before and after the procedure.
- Programing the machine in accordance with work specifications.
