Mining Safety Manager at Diamond New Energy – Nasarawa

Diamond New Energy, also known as Ganfeng Lithium Industry Limited, is recruiting a full-time Mining Safety Manager to support health, safety and environmental compliance at its on-site operation in Endo Village, Nasarawa LGA, Nasarawa State.

Mining safety management

• Develop, implement and maintain health, safety and environmental policies and procedures for mining operations.
• Conduct worksite inspections, safety audits, risk assessments and investigations into incidents.
• Identify hazards and manage safety risks associated with drilling, blasting, excavation and heavy machinery.
• Monitor compliance with government rules, company safety standards and HSE procedures.
• Prepare and deliver safety training, toolbox talks and emergency response procedures.
• Lead and communicate with teams, supervise safe working practices and encourage continuous safety improvements.
• Support a zero-accident culture and corrective actions designed to prevent incidents.

Qualifications and requirements

• Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of mining safety regulations, HSE standards, risk assessment and hazard controls.
• Practical experience establishing HSE policies and carrying out inspections, audits, investigations and risk assessments.
• Knowledge of safety requirements for mining equipment, drilling, blasting, excavation and heavy-duty machinery.
• Leadership and communication skills to supervise staff and deliver safety training.
• Experience with compliance monitoring and emergency planning.
• Relevant professional HSE or safety certification is an advantage.
• Willingness to work on-site in Endo Village, Nasarawa LGA, Nasarawa State.

Remuneration

• Monthly salary range: ₦500,000–₦800,000.
