Online English Tutor at Chardy Academy – Lagos (Remote)

Chardy Academy is recruiting a part-time Online English Tutor for students in Grades 7–12. The role involves interactive virtual teaching, lesson preparation and constructive progress assessments.

Teaching duties

• Deliver engaging online English lessons for learners in Grades 7–12.
• Teach grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing and literature.
• Prepare lessons and materials suited to each student’s grade and learning needs.
• Assess learners, provide constructive feedback and support stronger proficiency, confidence and academic progress.
• Maintain a professional, supportive virtual learning environment.

Requirements

• Proven English-teaching experience, preferably with Grades 7–12; previous online teaching experience is essential.
• Excellent written and spoken English, communication, presentation and classroom management.
• Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet teaching space with a laptop or desktop computer, webcam and microphone.
• Ability to explain difficult concepts clearly and adapt teaching methods to learners.
• Patience, organisation, dependability and commitment to student development.
• A degree in English, Education or a related field is an advantage.
