Radiographer at Echo-Scan Services Limited – Garki, Abuja

Echo-Scan Services Limited is recruiting a Radiographer in Garki, Abuja (FCT), to perform diagnostic imaging, specialist procedures and maintain patient safety and records.

Diagnostic imaging and patient care

• Prepare and position patients and equipment, explain procedures and provide reassurance and support.
• Obtain consent where required and set appropriate radiation levels in line with established standards.
• Carry out conventional and special radiographic procedures, including HSG, RUG and barium studies.
• Operate CT, MRI and X-ray equipment to produce clear diagnostic images.
• Assess patients before radiotherapy-related examinations to determine suitable radiographic techniques.
• Enter scan commands and data, monitor image display and adjust image density or contrast when needed.
• Observe patient condition and minimise avoidable radiation exposure throughout examinations.

Imaging records and safety

• Ensure completed studies are transferred to the appropriate work area and acquired images are uploaded to the viewing platform.
• Record relevant observations, communicate important information to physicians and update imaging records on PACS.
• Follow radiology safety protocols and promptly report potential hazards to the Radiologist and Branch Operations Manager.
• Keep and retrieve departmental patient test reports while maintaining confidentiality.

Requirements

• First degree in Radiography and a valid licence to practise.
• At least two years’ experience in a comparable radiography position.
• Ability to perform special radiographic procedures.
• Careful patient identification, confidentiality and attention to detail.
• Strong communication, empathy, compassion and interpersonal skills with different patients.
