Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Moniepoint Incorporated – Remote

Moniepoint Incorporated is recruiting a remote Senior Site Reliability Engineer to improve the availability, scalability and resilience of its distributed financial technology platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead major incident response and on-call operations, coordinating technical teams and communicating service updates.
• Define service-level objectives, error budgets, metrics and distributed tracing with engineering and product colleagues.
• Build production-quality automation, internal tools and self-healing systems in Java, Go, Python or similar languages.
• Review system architecture for reliability, rate limiting, backpressure and graceful degradation.
• Analyse capacity, conduct load tests and chaos engineering exercises, and improve operational resilience.

Requirements

• At least five years’ experience in site reliability or backend engineering, with strong coding capability in Java, Go, Rust or Python.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Production experience with Google Cloud, AWS or Azure and Kubernetes.
• Experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Datadog, New Relic, SigNoz or related observability tools.
• Experience supporting PostgreSQL, MySQL, Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar production data platforms.
