Graduate Engineer

Overview Of Role
- Nigerstar 7 is looking for graduate engineers to join the engineering department.
- Under supervision, a Graduate Engineer assists more senior engineers to produce detailed engineering relevant to his/her area of specialism. The work scope may include supporting studies and tenders as well as live projects.
- The Graduate Engineer will participate in the Graduate Engineer Development Scheme (GEDS) involving off-the-job training, on-the-job development, mentoring and self-development.
Person Specification
- This position is open only to Nigerians
- Engineering degree or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year post NYSC experience
- Ability to function within a design team and across multiple projects.
- Understanding of Pipelines and risers will be added advantage.
- Ability to prioritise own workload, manage time accordingly and inform team members where constraints will affect a project in terms of programme or budget.
- Be aware of interfaces within a project structure, including other disciplines, drawing office, document control, project management, client and suppliers. Manage change control within own remit on a project.

Projects Director

Description of Function
- Based in Nigeria, and reporting to the NigerStar 7 CEO and functionally to Africa P&O Director, the Projects Director role is to ensure that local Projects are executed in accordance with NigerStar 7 procedures, Clients and Contracts’ requirements, meeting targets set in terms of QSHE, budget and schedule.
- In charge of the local Project Managers’ population, he has the authority to act and commit on behalf of NigerStar 7 Management and is responsible for the delivery of the local projects.

Preferred Experience and Education:
- Engineering Degree associated with Mechanical, Civil, Offshore or Marine disciplines.
- 25 years’ Experience in Project Management
- Experience is West Africa and Nigeria is a plus

Overview Of Role
- The Project Engineering Manager plans and coordinates the technical expertise and services required to ensure successful delivery of projects and tenders. This scope includes studies and tenders as well as live projects. The resources and competence required to deliver the work will be provided by the Engineering Disciplines and agreed at the outset of the work.
- The Project Engineering Manager will contribute to business development and marketing internally to the company’s employees as well as externally to the clients as required, support the pursuit of project opportunities and identify/implement the resources and training necessary. Responsibilities may include business development, budget control, project & resource management, performance management, training and all other related business activities.
- All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.
Person Specification
- Graduate of Engineering with 15 years of Engineering Experience in an Oil and Gas Environment with focus on EPCI projects.
- 5 years Management experience with the ability to lead an engineering team across multiple projects and tenders.
- Sound communication skills, oral, written and electronic.
- Ability to prioritise own and others’ workload, manage time and change control accordingly and direct team members where constraints will affect a project in terms of programme or budget.

Vessel Operations Manager
Job Location: Lagos

Description of Role
- The VOM is the single point of contact for Operations, project and tendering teams for any particular vessel and provides the continuity of knowledge of a vessel’s capabilities, performance, cost base and technical library.
- The role supports both the Project Manager and the operations Manager of the ship in delivering project performance by planning, executing, measuring and improving a range of issues associated with maximising efficiency of the ship’s construction activities.
- The VOM will act as a technical advisor for all NigerStar 7 assets, a general knowledge /awareness of all marine equipment / systems.
Personal Specification
- Third-level technical or similar university degree
- 8 years of experience in offshore industry
- Proven experience managing Anchor Handling Tugs and Cargo Barges.
- Proven ability to solve operational problems without supervision and deliver effective results to internal clients.
- Common sense approach to work, which incorporates and embraces all aspects of the NigerStar 7 HSES and Quality policies. The VOM must be able to demonstrate a high standard of HSE and Quality leadership in work behaviours.
