Switch Applications & Operations Engineer at eTranzact International Plc

About the role

The engineer will support the availability, stability and performance of eTranzact’s transaction-switching applications and the infrastructure that connects them to payment partners.

Responsibilities

• Monitor switching applications, related services and transaction flows to identify failures or degradation.
• Provide technical investigation and second- or third-line support for switching incidents and payment-processing problems.
• Support production deployments, configuration changes, system maintenance and operational continuity.
• Coordinate with banks, payment partners, development and infrastructure teams to resolve transaction issues.
• Support systems running at primary and disaster-recovery sites, including testing and incident escalation.
• Maintain technical records, operational procedures and service reporting while applying security and compliance controls.

Qualifications and requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Three to five years of relevant experience in payment-switch operations, financial technology or comparable application support.
• Understanding of electronic transaction processing, payment integrations, troubleshooting and production support.
• Ability to analyse incidents, work with technical stakeholders and maintain reliable services.
