Chief Officer Vacancy at Miden Systems Limited

Position Title: Chief Officer.

Job Station: Nigeria.

INTRODUCTION :-

Chief Officer job opportunity is available at Miden Systems Limited for individuals who possess University degree in any relevant field

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :-

• Comply with the safety and environmental policies of the Company, and all relevant international and national conventions, codes and legislation.
• Actively promote safe working and safe operational practice which will ensure that personnel operate in safe working environments.
• Arrange safety training on board and remain responsible for use and safe custody of safety training videos
• Carry out running maintenance of all deck equipment, liaising closely with the Chief Engineer, before any machinery is dismantled.
• Ensure all documents under his control are properly maintained. All Company paperwork is to be submitted on time.
• Required to properly maintain a Chief Mate’s Workbook, which is to be used as a handy reference for himself and future Chief Mates.
• Management of performance, disciplinary procedures and grievance procedures as head of department.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION :-

• University degree in any relevant field
• All STCW certificates issued within last 5 years
• Most have Seamans book with vessel stamps include the issue and expiry date pages.
• Significant experience in similar roles; in the offshore oil & gas industry.
• Current & valid BOSIET certificate (from OPITO approved center).
• Current & Valid H2S certificate
• Not less than 10 years of work experience in similar field.
