Civil Engineer (Technical Sales) via Elizabeth Maddeux – Ikeja, Lagos

Elizabeth Maddeux Limited is recruiting a full-time Civil Engineer with a technical sales focus for a client in Ikeja, Lagos. The role combines civil engineering knowledge with business development, client advisory and solutions selling to construction and infrastructure customers.

Technical sales and business development

• Identify opportunities in the construction and infrastructure markets.
• Build client relationships with developers, contractors, consultants and related stakeholders.
• Meet customers and attend project sites to understand engineering and commercial requirements.
• Prepare technical proposals, estimates and quotations, and follow up through negotiation and sale.
• Translate engineering specifications into practical solutions and provide technical guidance to customers.
• Support clients and project teams with technical enquiries and troubleshooting.
• Manage a sales pipeline, customer accounts and reports, and monitor market and competitor activity.
• Coordinate handover from the sale to project implementation while upholding safety and quality requirements.
• Achieve agreed commercial sales targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Three to five years of experience in construction, infrastructure or technical/B2B sales.
• Client-facing engineering or solutions-selling experience is highly desirable.
• COREN certification or registration is an advantage.
• Engineering design or CAD skills are an advantage.
• Understanding of relevant building codes, health and safety requirements and quality standards.
• Strong commercial judgement, negotiation, presentation and communication.
• Ability to manage client relationships, sales targets and multiple priorities.

Salary

• ₦300,000–₦400,000 monthly.
