Bergstein Hospital is recruiting a Consultant Cardiologist in Lagos.

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be expected to

• Provide specialist consultations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans within their respective fields.
• Manage patients with acute and chronic medical conditions and provide appropriate follow-up care.
• Request, interpret, and review relevant diagnostic investigations.
• Perform specialist procedures and interventions within their area of competence.
• Collaborate with other consultants, nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date medical records.
• Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment options, prevention, and ongoing care.
• Uphold professional ethics, clinical guidelines, and patient safety standards.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical services and patient outcomes.

Requirements and Qualifications

• A recognised medical degree (MBBS or equivalent).
• Relevant postgraduate specialist qualification in the advertised speciality.
• Current registration and a valid practising licence with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
• Relevant specialist registration and credentials as applicable.
• Demonstrable clinical experience in the respective speciality.
• Strong diagnostic, communication, and clinical decision-making skills.
• A compassionate, professional, and patient-focused approach to healthcare delivery.
