Engineer at BlueBrain Services Limited – Enugu

BlueBrain Services Limited is recruiting a full-time Engineer in Enugu to oversee manufacturing plant operations, maintenance and equipment performance. The role requires electrical engineering expertise, regulatory compliance and leadership of production and maintenance personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily plant operations, production efficiency and equipment reliability.
• Develop and implement preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance schedules.
• Monitor performance, reduce downtime, troubleshoot equipment failures and implement lasting corrective action.
• Ensure electrical installations and plant activities comply with NEMSA regulations, health and safety requirements, environmental rules and quality standards.
• Supervise, mentor and evaluate plant staff, and coordinate with Production, Quality Assurance, Procurement and Engineering teams.
• Prepare operational reports, maintenance records, performance analysis and management updates.
• Manage plant and maintenance budgets, costs, spare parts, tools, inventory and equipment use.
• Lead continuous improvement, risk assessment and process optimisation initiatives.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree (B.Eng. or B.Sc.) in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
• At least five years’ experience in plant operations, manufacturing maintenance or plant management.
• Valid COREN registration and NEMSA certification/licence are mandatory.
• Proven experience with electrical systems, industrial equipment and maintenance management.
• Leadership of multidisciplinary technical teams and knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Understanding of occupational safety and applicable industry standards.

Technical and professional skills

• Plant operations, production planning, root-cause analysis, fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
• Electrical systems, industrial machinery, maintenance management and continuous improvement.
• HSE compliance, quality management, budgeting, project management and inventory control.
• Strong communication, reporting, leadership, analytical judgement and time management.
• Microsoft Office proficiency; CMMS experience is an advantage.
• Industrial automation or manufacturing systems experience is desirable.
• Project management, HSE, maintenance, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certifications are advantageous.
• Integrity, professionalism, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
