Construction Lab Technician at Craneburg Construction – Abia, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Enugu & Imo (5 Openings)
Craneburg Construction Company is recruiting five full-time Construction Lab Technicians for Abia, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Enugu and Imo states to carry out testing of construction materials and support quality assurance on site.
Responsibilities
- Test soil, concrete, aggregates, asphalt and other construction materials in the laboratory and in the field.
- Carry out compaction checks, concrete sampling, slump testing and other relevant procedures.
- Collect, prepare and evaluate samples according to approved testing standards.
- Document test results and maintain laboratory records and technical reports.
- Report material nonconformities to the Quality Control Engineer.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and coordinate quality problems with site engineers and QA/QC teams.
- Follow project specifications and site safety procedures.
Requirements
- OND, HND or B.Sc in Civil Engineering, Laboratory Technology or a related discipline.
- Two to five years’ experience testing construction materials.
- Knowledge of soil, concrete, aggregate and asphalt testing, including applicable ASTM or BS standards.
- Accurate technical reporting, record keeping and attention to quality and safety.
