Engineering – Rig Supervisor III at ABNL Limited – Oso Platform, Akwa Ibom

ABNL Limited is recruiting an Engineering – Rig Supervisor III on a contract basis at Oso Platform, Akwa Ibom. The role represents the company on a drilling rig, overseeing safe and efficient execution of well plans and coordinating rig personnel, equipment, contractors and service logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate and reinforce safety, security, health and environmental requirements on the rig and support the management of related incidents.
• Monitor rig operations and work with rig contractors to ensure approved well-control and emergency procedures are followed.
• Ensure scheduled safety, operational, security and environmental drills take place.
• Monitor compliance with approved drilling and completion programmes and apply management-of-change procedures when needed.
• Arrange personnel, equipment and service logistics for drilling and completion activities.
• Support onsite monitoring of kick detection, abnormal pressures, torque and drag, mud properties and solids control.
• Produce accurate operational reports and coordinate with engineers and geologists on well objectives and procedures.

Qualifications and requirements

• Current Well Control certification.
• Experience supervising drilling and completion operations or leading rig teams.
• Experience working for a major oil and gas operator or drilling contractor.
• Ability to coordinate rig operations, communicate with third parties and support established safety and emergency procedures.
