Engineering – Production Technologist III at Scruples Resources Limited – Lagos

Scruples Resources Limited is recruiting an Engineering – Production Technologist III for a contract role in Lagos. The position leads well-completion design, well and reservoir performance management, production-system optimisation and multidisciplinary field-development activities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate well performance modelling, sand prediction and control, perforation, upper completion, artificial lift and smart-well designs.
• Lead well, reservoir and facilities management (WRFM), production surveillance, well integrity reviews and production-system optimisation.
• Assess short-term field performance, well technical potential and production forecasts, and mature improvement opportunities.
• Manage flow-assurance challenges and develop remediation plans for affected wells.
• Identify and evaluate stimulation, water and gas shut-off, reperforation and other well-intervention opportunities.
• Prepare intervention proposals, economic justifications, functional designs and detailed execution programmes; obtain appropriate partner and regulatory approvals.
• Coordinate well/reservoir surveillance, required data acquisition, performance assessment and accurate digital well records.
• Work closely with reservoir engineering, production geology, drilling, completions and facilities teams on field development and intervention decisions.
• Engage venture partners, regulators, service companies and field teams on technical plans, budgets, reviews and work execution.
• Evaluate cost-effective production technologies, contribute technical reports and mentor production technologists.

Requirements

• University degree in Engineering or equivalent, with nine to eleven years of relevant experience.
• At least nine years of production technology experience in an operating company.
• At least seven years of oil and gas industry experience is mandatory for applicants.
• Expertise in well modelling and performance analysis, artificial lift, well integrity and operating envelopes.
• Experience planning and supervising completions, interventions, smart completions, well design and operations.
• Knowledge of HSE in well management, oilwell cementing, drill-in fluids, production chemistry and operations.
• Strong cross-disciplinary coordination, technical judgement, communication and mentoring ability.
