Finance and Operations Manager via Apex Forte Professionals – Ikeja, Lagos

A restaurant business is recruiting a Finance and Operations Manager through Apex Forte Professionals to oversee financial controls and operations across its Opebi and Berger branches in Lagos.

Financial management and compliance

• Oversee accounting records, sales reconciliation, budgets, cash flow, branch profitability and periodic management reports.
• Review expenditure requests, supplier invoices and supporting documentation, and investigate discrepancies or revenue leakages.
• Coordinate VAT, PAYE, withholding tax and other applicable statutory obligations, maintaining complete tax records and supporting audits.
• Liaise with accountants, auditors, advisers and regulators when required.

Restaurant operations and inventory

• Supervise operations across both branches, working with floor, production, facilities and other departmental supervisors.
• Monitor service quality, hygiene, customer experience, staff performance and compliance with operating procedures.
• Oversee stocktaking, inventory records, purchasing controls, supplier quotations, waste reduction and food cost analysis.
• Report branch performance and propose improvements to operating efficiency and customer satisfaction.

New-branch readiness and management

• Help plan and prepare the Berger launch of Abula Tawa – The Village, including recruitment, training, controls, inventories and departmental readiness.
• Coordinate supervisors, staff onboarding, performance assessment and routine operational issue resolution.
• Prepare consolidated daily sales reports, weekly operational updates and monthly financial and profitability reports.
• Work within approved limits: supplier payments, salaries, major purchases and financial commitments require Managing Director approval; imprest spending must be documented and reconciled.

Requirements and conditions

• Relevant qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated financial management and operational oversight experience, preferably in hospitality or another service business.
• Understanding of Nigerian taxation, budgeting, reporting, internal controls and accounting software; strong Excel skills.
• Integrity, confidentiality, analytical ability and leadership across multiple business sites.
• Initial probation period of three months, with performance evaluated against financial accuracy, controls, tax compliance, operational efficiency and Berger branch readiness.

Salary

• ₦300,000–₦350,000 per month.
