Group Head, Sales & Business Development at Vethan Concepts Group Limited – Lagos

Vethan Concepts Group Limited is recruiting a Group Head, Sales & Business Development in Lagos to lead commercial strategy, corporate sales, revenue growth and strategic partnerships across its businesses. The role reports to the Group Managing Director or CEO.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement group-wide sales strategies, revenue targets and market expansion plans.
• Lead sales and business development teams across subsidiaries, assigning performance targets and coaching team members.
• Identify strategic partners, high-value corporate accounts and new markets or revenue opportunities.
• Oversee proposals, tenders, technical presentations, commercial bids and contract negotiations.
• Manage sales pipelines, key accounts, pricing strategies, client relationships and forecasting.
• Work with engineering, operations, finance, marketing and technical teams to turn product capabilities into viable opportunities.
• Monitor customer and competitor trends, prepare executive sales reports and improve team effectiveness.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Engineering or related fields; a Master’s degree or professional qualification is advantageous.
• At least eight years of progressive sales, business development or commercial management experience, including senior leadership.
• Demonstrated success achieving revenue goals and closing major B2B deals.
• Strong background in corporate accounts, partnerships, technical sales and sales team leadership.
• Experience with engineering, scientific instrumentation or technology products is strongly preferred.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, forecasting and analytical skills.
