Position Title: Head Teacher.

Job Station: Lagos State.

INTRODUCTION:-

Head Teacher job opportunity is available at a reputable School in Lagos Mainland for individuals who possess relevant qualifications.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-

  • Will be responsibilefor staff delivery and professionalism.
  • Responsible for the standards and curriculum of all pupils including monitoring of progress towards achievement
  • Proactively manage staff and resources.
  • Manage curriculum integration process across Nigerian and British standards for elementary classes and blended EYFS with Montessori for the early years classes.
  • Take responsibility for the day to day running of the school and school campus.
  • Take full responsibility for the school in the absence of the Directors.
  • Carry out the professional duties of a teacher as required.
  • Take responsibility for safeguarding issues as appropriate.
  • Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.

Primary Class Teacher Responsibilities

  • To teach pupils in their assigned group according to their educational needs, including the setting and marking of work to be carried out by the students in school and elsewhere.
  • To ensure a high quality learning experience for pupils, which meets internal and external quality standards.
  • To use a variety of a delivery methods appropriate to students’ learning styles and the varying demands of the curriculum.
  • Planning and preparing courses and lessons;
  • Teaching, according to their educational needs, the pupils assigned to him/her, including the setting and marking of work to be carried out by the pupils in school and elsewhere;
  • Assessing, recording and reporting on the development, progress and attainment of pupils.
  • To ensure a high quality learning experience for pupils.
  • Follows professional practices consistent with school and system policies in working with students, students’ records, parents, and colleagues.
  • Demonstrates communication and interpersonal skills as they relate to interaction with students, parents, other teachers, administrators, and other school personnel.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:-

  • Bachelors Degree in education required. A Master’s Degree in an education-related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a classroom teacher, plus 3 years school leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated acumen for mentoring and guiding the professional development of classroom teachers and community development.
  • Working knowledge of Early Childhood Education.
  • Proven record of quickly assimilating into new environments, identifying areas for improvement and effecting change, while cultivating positive relationships.

REMUNERATION:-

N100,000 – N150,000 per month.
