Implementation Engineer at Unified Payment Services Limited – Lagos

Unified Payment Services Limited is hiring an Implementation Engineer in Lagos to manage payment platform integrations, deployment and technical support.

Job Objectives

• Analyze new user/solution requirements to develop solutions that align with requirements.
• Technical implementation of new business solution projects to time, cost, scope and quality.
• System integration requirements and solution analysis for new business initiatives.
• Product backlog management, including documenting user stories and Functional requirements.
• Provide technical support to merchants integrating the Payment gateway.
• Managing the Ecommerce platforms, and Services including 3DS Server (Payment Gateway), EMVCo 3DS (Card authentication), Online marketplace platforms, and Verification (KYC) platforms.
• Oversee the design, planning and implementation of Ecommerce related projects

Duties & Responsibilities

• Offer second-level support for POS application issues and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to enhance product quality and user experience.
• Lead end-to-end testing, validation, and deployment of PTSA solutions for merchant integration.
• Supervise operation, implementation, and maintenance of the UPTSA production platform.
• Monitors terminal performance, diagnosis, and resolve service issues.
• Prepares daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly reports of Terminal performance through data analysis.
• Conducts testing and quality assurance for POS systems before deployment.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance platform reliability and efficiency.
• Track system downtimes to maintain 99.9% service availability.
• Guide junior staff to help them reach their full potential on the job.

Job Requirements

Education:

• First degree(s) in Engineering, Computer Science, or Applied Sciences.

Experience:

• Understanding of the key technical concepts in I.T, Electronic Payments, and Digital Services. Programming knowledge and experience is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Software development, System Integration, or an application support role.

Others:

• Strong analytical skills, business analysis, and project Management skills would be an added advantage.

Reporting Relationships:

• Functionally reports to: Head, PTSA Operations.
