IT Officer via Rainbow Educational Service Limited – Surulere, Lagos State

A school in Surulere, Lagos, is recruiting a full-time IT Officer to support computer systems, networks, learning technology and information security.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to staff and students, ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and equipment.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, printers, projectors, and other IT-related devices.
• Manage and maintain the school’s computer networks, internet connectivity, and Wi-Fi systems.
• Ensure the security, integrity, and regular backup of data and information systems.
• Maintain and update software, operating systems, and antivirus applications.
• Support the effective use of digital learning platforms, educational software, and other technology tools.
• Monitor IT infrastructure and promptly resolve technical issues to minimize downtime.
• Manage IT inventory, including hardware, software licenses, and other technology resources.
• Implement and enforce IT policies, cybersecurity measures, and data protection procedures.
• Assist in the setup and maintenance of audiovisual equipment for classes, meetings, and school events.
• Train and guide staff on the effective use of IT systems and digital tools.

Requirements

• B.Sc. or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant IT support or systems administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Good understanding of computer networking, internet connectivity, and network security.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general IT support tools.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, data backup, and data protection best practices.
• Experience with school management systems, learning management systems, or ERP platforms is an added advantage.
• Relevant IT certifications are an added advantage.
