Math Teacher at Wisville Academy – Enugu

Wisville Academy seeks a Math Teacher in Enugu to build pupils’ mathematical understanding, mental arithmetic, problem-solving and examination readiness.

Role overview

Help learners excel in math and pass all exams by true understanding of math concepts.

Ensure learners are fluent in mental math.

Plan and present lessons to facilitate students’ understanding and application of mathematical concepts.

Prepare and distribute lesson materials such as notes, assignments and quizzes.

Adopt the use of activities to facilitate learning and promote critical thinking.

Ensure team work and collaboration during activities (this is checked in the class while observing lesson)

Take care of pupils and take responsibility for the children under your care as well as their belongings.

Prepare instructional materials in line with the content for proper lesson delivery.

Ensure correction of each class work and homework is done effectively

Follow daily timetable and finish the scheduled subjects/activities for the day.

Engage and be present for weekly preview. (You must arrive on time for the preview).

Attend school scheduled meetings, training, fellowships and parents praise

Classroom control and management.

Control/ conduct remedial/ intervention classes for struggling children and work towards delivering them.

Prepare visuals and line with the content at the beginning of every term

Maintain a neat conducive and safe classroom environment.

Ensure safety of pupils in the classroom, at the playground and within the school environment.

Prepare pupil’s homework and mark them upon submission

Uphold the school’s culture and people’s manner at all times

Groom pupils for presentations.
