Mechanical Technician at Dangote Group – Nigeria
Dangote Group is recruiting a Mechanical Technician in Nigeria to support maintenance, repair, installation and dependable operation of plant machinery and mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive inspections, lubrication, cleaning, adjustments and scheduled servicing of mechanical equipment.
- Support installation, alignment, testing and commissioning of pumps, compressors, conveyors, motors, valves and gearboxes.
- Identify mechanical faults and assist senior technicians with troubleshooting and corrective maintenance.
- Repair or replace bearings, seals, belts, couplings, gaskets and other defective components in line with maintenance procedures.
- Follow HSE rules, lockout/tagout and permit-to-work requirements during all mechanical tasks.
- Document inspections, repairs, downtime, spare-part usage and maintenance work accurately.
- Participate in condition monitoring, root-cause investigation, housekeeping and plant-reliability improvement.
