Position Title: Nigeria Country Representative / User Engagement and Operations Expert.

Job Station: Nigeria.

INTRODUCTION :-

Nigeria Country Representative / User Engagement and Operations Expert job opportunity is available at Groots Consulting UG for individuals who possess relevant qualifications.

• We are looking for a Nigeria User Engagement and Operations Expert who will be representing Groots in the country and will be driving the implementation of the Groots Data Collection System in the rural areas of Nigeria, from ensuring viability and uptake of the core system in the local context to smooth and efficient service delivery
• You utilize your full range of user engagement, sales and marketing and basic IT and mobile technology skills.
• This position will be a short-term contract starting in March and running until November 2020 with possibility of extension. The position is based in Nigeria and requires frequent travelling up-country.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :-

• Apply your local insights and experience especially in the rural context of the country to shape the data collection core system
• Communicate and work with local partners to identify requests and ensure smooth and effective and efficient service delivery
• Implement field research to prepare a sound knowledge basis for digital product design decisions and verify conceptual and technical viability of the product concepts
• Implement split tests and refine our user engagement approach
• Manage successful distribution of the core system including identifying distribution partners, procurement, software installation and branding of the system, preparation of materials and execution of mini onboarding training to users
• Design, implement and monitor digital data collection and user responses through the system
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of the engagement
• Ensure compliance with national regulatory bodies
• Represent and identify business opportunities with public and private sector including foundations and development organizations active in the country
• Contribute to communication activities.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION :-

• Insight and understanding about local community structure and context
• 3+ years user and/or community engagement experience
• 2+ years of sales and marketing especially with bottom-of-the-pyramid demographics
• Basic IT and mobile technology skills
• Ability to work independently, flexibly and in remote team working environment
• English Language Proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in retail and/or wholesale businesses is a big plus
• Experience in behavioural change communication
• Knowledge of other local official languages
• Experience with qualitative data collection.
