Operations – Maintenance Systems Specialist I at Nautilus Nigeria – Lagos

Nautilus Nigeria Engineering and Construction Limited (NNEC) is recruiting an Operations – Maintenance Systems Specialist I in Lagos. The specialist will support safe and reliable maintenance operations, materials management, computerised maintenance systems and procurement-related contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain reliable operations in compliance with safety, health, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Support materials functions to ensure spare parts and equipment meet specifications and planned maintenance needs.
• Use computerised maintenance management systems, including systems such as SAP or the International Production Enterprise System (IPES), to enter, retrieve and maintain site maintenance information.
• Maintain working relationships with Operations, Maintenance, Field Maintenance and Logistics teams.
• Follow relevant operational integrity and control procedures, and contribute to their improvement.
• Provide guidance on procurement procedures, coordinate maintenance contracts after award and maintain central contract records.
• Liaise with procurement teams to confirm availability of contractors and services, and support renewals, awards and resolution of contract-related issues.
• Help develop scopes of work and technical prequalification and assessment materials for contracts.
• Order replacement parts and other materials, document purchases and inventory transactions, process invoices and coordinate payments.

Qualifications and requirements

• Previous experience in maintenance systems, materials, operations or a closely related role.
• Discipline-appropriate certification or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance planning, scheduling, management and relevant safety and environmental requirements.
• Practical proficiency with a computerised maintenance management system and relevant data-entry and reporting functions.
• Analytical thinking, sound decisions, willingness to learn, collaboration and concise technical communication.
• Ability to work effectively with colleagues without direct reporting authority and adapt to changing priorities, heavy workloads and short deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes.
