Procurement Engineer (FMCG) at Raybond Technical Limited – Ikeja, Lagos

Raybond Technical Limited is recruiting a full-time Procurement Engineer (FMCG) in Ikeja, Lagos. The position supports the sourcing and timely procurement of raw materials, engineering components, spare parts, equipment and services for FMCG clients and operations, balancing technical compliance, cost and delivery requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Source local and international suppliers, prepare requests for quotations, compare technical and commercial submissions and recommend sourcing options.
• Raise purchase requisitions, support purchase order processing and follow approved procurement plans and client requirements.
• Review specifications, equipment datasheets, drawings and technical documentation to ensure purchased materials meet requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering, sales, operations and client representatives to clarify material needs.
• Develop supplier relationships, support prequalification and onboarding, monitor price, quality and delivery performance, and identify alternative suppliers.
• Assist with price negotiations and total landed-cost comparisons, including applicable transport, logistics, duties and installation expenses.
• Track purchase orders, expedite critical materials, coordinate delivery and quality inspections and help resolve damaged or late consignments.
• Maintain RFQs, comparison sheets, supplier databases, procurement trackers, delivery records and audit-ready documentation.

Qualifications and skills

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Purchasing and Supply or a related discipline.
• Two to four years’ experience in procurement, supply chain or purchasing, preferably in FMCG, manufacturing or industrial operations.
• Practical experience sourcing engineering equipment, spare parts or production materials, including dealings with local suppliers; international sourcing experience is an advantage.
• Familiarity with supplier quotations, purchase orders, documentation and FMCG operational requirements.
• Ability to understand specifications, drawings, datasheets and procurement cost considerations.
• Competence in Excel, Word and Outlook, with sound communication, analysis, negotiation, organisation and attention to detail.
