Position title: Production Manager (Water-based Inks). Location: Lagos State.About the role
Production Manager (Water-based Inks) job opportunity is available at Ascentech Services Limited for individuals who possess relevant qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Planning and organizing production schedules
- Assessing project and resource requirements
- Estimating, negotiating and agreeing budgets and timescales with clients and managers
- Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met
- Determining quality control standards
- Overseeing production processes
- Re-negotiating timescales or schedules as necessary
- Selecting, ordering and purchasing materials
- Organizing the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment
- Liaising with buyers and marketing and sales staff
- Supervising and managing the work of junior staff
- Organizing relevant training sessions.
- Monitor production to resolve issues
- Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (quality inspectors, workers etc.)
- Inspect food production equipment to ensure they are operational and in good working order for food processing
- Determine amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.)
- Approve maintenance work, purchasing of equipment etc.
- Ensure output meets quality standards
- Enforce health and safety precautions
Experience and qualifications
- B.Sc in Chemistry
- 8 – 10 years of experience in Water based ink/ pigment dispersions manufacturing.
- Should have rich experience in Water based pigment emulsion (Soap Colorants) manufacturing.
- Should have rich experience in paint colorants manufacturing.
- Knowledge of carton ink manufacturing will be an added advantage.
- Should be able to handle production and quality control of water based manufacturing plant independently.
