Research Analyst (Remote Contract) via Talenthub HR Network

Talenthub HR Network is recruiting a Research Analyst for a six-month remote contract, with an option to extend subject to performance. The role reports to the Chief Executive Officer and supports an external climate technology and finance partner with energy market intelligence.

Research and market intelligence

• Investigate energy-sector trends, with particular attention to data centres and emerging energy technologies.
• Collect and analyse information on investment patterns, project deployment, energy supply chains and commercialisation.
• Turn complex findings into clearly documented summaries, actionable frameworks and strategic recommendations.
• Track new energy developments and maintain reliable research repositories and source records.

AI, reporting and collaboration

• Use AI and automation tools to improve research efficiency and synthesis.
• Recommend research tools and methods that improve accuracy and productivity.
• Work with cross-functional colleagues to define research needs and business priorities.
• Present insights through well-organised written reports and presentations.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Environmental or Climate studies or another science discipline.
• At least three years in research or relevant experience in the energy industry.
• Knowledge of or strong interest in energy sectors, data centres and emerging power-generation technologies.
• Strong attention to detail, data handling, project tracking and clear communication.
• Comfort using AI tools, Excel or Google Sheets and established research methods.
• Self-direction, curiosity, initiative and ability to manage competing projects.

Terms and salary

• Six-month contract, with a possible extension based on performance.
• Gross monthly salary of ₦400,000–₦600,000.
