Senior Data Analyst at IMPACT Initiatives – Abuja

IMPACT Initiatives is recruiting a Senior Data Analyst for its REACH department in Abuja. The four-month contract is scheduled to begin on 1 December 2026 and focuses on research design, data processing, statistical analysis and production of analytical information products.

Research design and analysis

• Lead the preparation of analytical research products, including sampling approaches, data analysis plans, collection tools and outputs.
• Work with research, assessment and GIS teams to design quantitative samples and reliable data processes.
• Develop and maintain data cleaning, processing and analysis scripts, with an emphasis on R.
• Carry out descriptive analysis, hypothesis testing, correlation and regression analysis.
• Check the accuracy of field data, oversee data cleaning and support more automated research workflows.
• Develop dashboards, web maps or information-management systems where relevant.
• Train colleagues in data management and cleaning and provide technical support to partners and humanitarian stakeholders.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with IMPACT data protection standards and procedures.
• Where required, supervise assessment and data teams and ensure responsible use of project resources.

Qualifications and skills

• Strong academic qualifications; a master’s degree in computer or data science, statistics, social science, economics or a related discipline is preferred.
• At least two years’ experience in a similar research or data analysis role, preferably in humanitarian work.
• Demonstrated ability in quantitative and qualitative research and statistical analysis, including regression and correlation.
• Advanced knowledge of R, STATA, Python or equivalent analytical software, with a willingness to learn R.
• ArcGIS or Power BI knowledge is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, reporting, organisational and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage tight deadlines and collaborate in multicultural and complex environments.
• Fluent English; experience in the region is desirable.
