Research Specialist – Implementation & Operations Research at Malaria Consortium

Malaria Consortium is recruiting a permanent, full-time Research Specialist in either Nigeria or Uganda. The position advances implementation and operations research to improve the design, delivery and scale-up of public-health programmes.

Responsibilities

• Apply implementation science to understand how health programmes function in practice and identify improvements.
• Support country and global teams and external partners in research design, data collection and analysis.
• Use qualitative and quantitative evidence to guide programme learning, adaptation and decisions.
• Translate research findings into practical recommendations for Ministries of Health and programme partners.
• Contribute to peer-reviewed research, presentations and technical support across programmes.

Requirements

• Postgraduate degree in Public Health, Social Sciences or a related subject with strong mixed-methods research training.
• Proven implementation science, health systems or applied public-health research experience in low- and middle-income settings.
• Strong qualitative and quantitative analysis, including STATA or R and NVivo or ATLAS.ti.
• Experience writing academic publications and presenting at conferences.
• Excellent project-management, communication, facilitation and problem-solving abilities.
