Security Guard at Dangote Group – Ibese Plant, Ogun

Dangote Group is recruiting a Security Guard for its Ibese Plant in Ogun State. The position involves patrolling company premises, controlling access, monitoring security systems and reporting incidents that may affect people or property.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular security patrols and inspections of the premises to help maintain safety and compliance.
• Monitor entrances and verify authorisation for people and vehicles entering the property.
• Identify and report suspicious behaviour, security breaches and other unusual incidents.
• Check that exits, doors and windows are appropriately secured.
• Observe surveillance cameras and respond promptly to alarms and security incidents.
• Assist people requiring support or guidance on the premises.
• Maintain accurate daily surveillance records and prepare reports of incidents or unusual occurrences.

Requirements

• Minimum of an SSCE certificate.
• Must be a member of the local community.
• Good understanding of public-safety and premises-security guidelines.
• Ability to write reports, think critically, solve problems and communicate effectively.
• Strong surveillance, observation, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Training in First Aid or Basic Life Support (BLS) and self-defence.
• Good time management.
