Position Title: Senior Education Specialist (Environmental Standard).

INTRODUCTION :-
Senior Education Specialist (Environmental Standard) job opportunity is available at a Multilateral Institution Funded Project for individuals who possess Graduate (Master’s) degree in Education, Business, Management, Environmental Standards (ES) or similar field.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :-
The successful Consultant will be required to:
- Under the supervision of the Lead Higher Education and Programme Specialist, and in coordination with the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) team, supervise all Environmental Standards (ES) academic, educational and Track design and roll-out across each delivery institution in each of the geo-political zones in the country;
- Lead on Environmental Standards (ES) curriculum design and development for each of the Tracks;
- Monitor environmental standards (ES) course, diploma and degree roll-out and implement enhancements in a periodic manner;
- Ensure that ES Faculty is equipped and ready to deliver the courses and continuously build their capacities;
- Continuously validate that the ES curriculum and courses are fit-for-purpose and are delivering on the intended results;
- Supervise Environmental Standards (ES) research and partnering activities of delivery institution in each of the geo-political zones in the country (with other universities, research centres, industry, etc.)
- Supervise environmental standards (ES) internship programmes to maximise their impact;
- Provide general academic advice and guidance
- Manage DLI measurement and reporting with respect to ES track
- Closely coordinate with delivery institutions in each of the geo-political zones in the country.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION :-
The short-listing criteria are:
- Graduate (Master’s) degree in Education, Business, Management, Environmental Standards (ES) or similar fields; PhD in a relevant domain is an advantage;
- Good command of the English language
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, coaching/mentoring, and computer skills;
- Excellent understanding of the higher education systems of Nigeria
- At least 15 years of general professional experience;
- At least 10 years of specific experience in designing and managing higher education programmes of direct relevance to ES;
- At least 5years of experience in supervising higher education programmes of direct relevance to ES’
- At least 5 years of experience in ES capacity building and research.
