Position Title: Senior Education Specialist (Social Standards).

INTRODUCTION :-
Senior Education Specialist (Social Standards) job opportunity is available at a Multilateral Institution Funded Project for individuals who possess Graduate (Master’s) degree in Education, Business, Management, Sociology, Social Standards or similar field.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :-
The successful Consultant will be required to:
- Under the supervision of the Lead Education and Programme Specialist and in coordination with the PIU team, supervise all SS academic, educational and Track design and roll-out across six Centres of Excellence;
- Lead on SS curriculum design and development for each of the Tracks;
- Monitor SS course, diploma and degree roll-out and implement enhancements in a periodic manner;
- Ensure that SS Faculty is equipped and ready to deliver the courses and continuously build their capacities;
- Continuously validate that the SS curriculum and courses are fit-for-purpose and are delivering on the intended results;
- Supervise SS research activities and partnering activities of delivery institution in each of the geo-political zones in the country (with other universities, research centres, industry, etc.);

- Supervise SS internship programmes to maximise their impact;
- Provide general academic advice and guidance;
- Manage DLI measurement and reporting with respect to SS tracks
- Closely coordinate with delivery institutions in each of the geo-political zones in the country.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION :-
The short-listing criteria are:
- Graduate (Master’s) degree in Education, Business, Management, Sociology, Social Standards or similar fields; PhD in a relevant domain is an advantage;
- Good command of the English Language;
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, coaching/mentoring, and computer skills;
- Excellent understanding of the higher education systems of Nigeria;
- At least 15 years of general professional experience;
- At least 10 years of specific experience in designing and managing higher education programmes of direct relevance to SS;
- At least 5 years of experience in supervising higher education programmes of direct relevance to SS;
- At least 5 years of experience in SS capacity building and research.
