Responsibilities
- The Statistician-General shall lead the Kaduna State Bureau of Statistics (KDBS), a parastatal under the Planning and Budget Commission, with a mandate to produce accurate, reliable and timely data for evidence-based planning and decision-making.
- KDBS conducts surveys and censuses as part of its responsibility for the development and management of official statistics, and is recognised as one of the strongest agencies in that sector among the country’s sub-nationals.
- The Statistician-General of Kaduna State has the status of a Permanent Secretary.
Experience and qualifications
- Candidates for the office of Statistician-General must have a minimum of a relevant First Degree, a good knowledge of Statistics and information management and proven managerial ability.
