Crane Technician (Electrical & Instrumentation) at VURIN Group – Port Harcourt, Rivers State
VURIN Group is recruiting a Crane Technician (Electrical & Instrumentation) in Port Harcourt to inspect and maintain crane power, control, instrument and safety systems in onshore and offshore settings.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect motors, panels, cables, controls, limit switches, indicators and alarms.
- Perform pre-use, periodic and post-repair functional tests using API RP 2D and OEM procedures.
- Take and record electrical test readings, including insulation resistance, voltage, current and continuity.
- Diagnose power and control-circuit faults and replace damaged components.
- Assist Crane Specialists with safety-device calibration, crane inspections and load testing.
- Apply work permits and lockout/tagout practices, and document inspection and repair results.
- Coordinate testing and handover with other crane, deck and client personnel.
Requirements
- Practical competence in crane electrical and instrumentation inspection, maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work safely with electrical isolation and HSE procedures.
- Accurate recording and reporting of tests, repairs, defects and maintenance histories.
