Rigger Technician at VDT Telecommunications Limited – Calabar; Ikota; Marina; Ikoyi; Port Harcourt
VDT Telecommunications Limited is recruiting five full-time Rigger Technicians across Calabar, Ikota, Marina, Ikoyi and Port Harcourt to support telecoms network installation and maintenance.
Field engineering responsibilities
- Install, test and commission telecommunications equipment and customer links.
- Climb communications masts and towers safely for installation, inspection, maintenance and fault diagnosis.
- Perform network troubleshooting and resolve customer faults within service-level timelines.
- Conduct site surveys, preventive and corrective maintenance and equipment testing prior to handover.
- Document installations, surveys and service records and respond to escalated incidents.
- Comply with health, safety and working-at-height requirements and travel to sites when required.
Requirements
- ND/OND or HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or related discipline.
- At least two years in telecommunications with installation and fault diagnosis experience.
- Physical ability and willingness to climb towers and work safely at height.
- Strong technical troubleshooting, communication, teamwork and ability to respond to urgent faults.
