HBM Nigeria Plc is recruiting a Draughtsman in Sagamu.
Role overview
Prepare mechanical, electrical and structural drawings and estimates, investigate recurring plant faults and help implement reliable, safe engineering improvements.
Responsibilities
- Investigate recurrent plant problems and develop engineering design solutions.
- Prepare mechanical, electrical, civil and structural CAD drawings, changing existing designs where needed.
- Produce bills of quantities and cost estimates and support maintenance improvement actions.
- Oversee on-site work and contracted tasks as UCC, ensuring drawings are correctly implemented.
- Maintain manufacturers’ drawings, hard-copy and digital plant records, and verify spare-part deliveries against specifications.
- Use AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, ArchiCAD and related CAD tools; work with inspectors and planners.
- Follow the company’s safety and environmental policies and standard work instructions.
Experience and skills
- Three to five years in mechanical or electrical engineering, rotating machines, maintenance or condition monitoring within a refinery, power facility or heavy-process plant.
- Knowledge of cement plant equipment and proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong project planning, organisation, management, coaching and team leadership skills.
