Drilling Engineer / Specialist III at ABNL Limited – Lagos

ABNL Limited is recruiting an Engineering – Drilling Engineer / Specialist III for a contract assignment in Lagos. The role provides well planning, drilling design, engineering oversight and technical input for safe, efficient drilling and well completion programmes.

Drilling engineering duties

• Plan and design drilling and well completion activities, including engineering surveillance and operational follow-up.
• Support well objectives while maintaining engineering integrity, safety and environmental standards.
• Provide technical drilling engineering advice to operations and development teams.
• Prepare the drilling basis of design, including casing design, torque and drag analysis, and hydraulics.
• Develop technical specifications and scopes of work for equipment and services.
• Identify and implement improvements to well construction performance.

Qualifications and experience

• BSc in Engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
• Industry experience in planning and executing drilling programmes.
• Experience with international assignments.
• Deepwater drilling experience where the assignment covers deepwater engineering.
• Competence in well design software and Microsoft applications.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to communicate clearly in English.
