Field Engineer at Merit Telecoms Nigeria Limited – Lagos
Merit Telecoms Nigeria Limited is recruiting a full-time Field Engineer in Lagos to support RF engineering, wireless network optimisation, site validation and performance reporting for telecommunications infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Review RF-related site drawings and complete design criteria, system dimensioning, link-budget and traffic analysis.
- Assess equipment co-location needs and work across 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G wireless systems.
- Apply familiarity with Nokia, Ericsson, Huawei and ZTE equipment to radio-network engineering tasks.
- Optimise antenna selection, azimuth, tilting, transmit power, clearance and neighbour configurations to improve network performance.
- Carry out in-building walk tests and drive tests, including benchmarking across networks.
- Prepare technical reports, charts and databases using tools such as Excel, Access and SQL.
- Present test outcomes and engineering conclusions to customers.
