Financial Advisor job opportunity is available at for individuals who possess relevant qualifications.
Key Focus
- This role is individually accountable for providing advice on a specific range of products to a specific allocated market.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-
Description
- Obtaining detailed information about the customer, their business and provide advice in line with the customer value proposition & compliance framework.
- Rendering advice to the customer on appropriate insurance cover and terms.
- Maintaining detailed knowledge of available insurance products for consideration of a client.
- Providing quotation on the insurance products for consideration of a client.
- Providing requisite underwriting information to the insurer in assessing the risk to decide pricing terms and conditions for cover.
- Acting promptly on instructions from a customer and providing him written acknowledgements of risk by the insurer.
- Complying with the guideline on market conduct and business practice for insurance institutions in Nigeria.
- Assisting customers in processing claims in line with the provisions of the “claims management procedure” of the company represented.
- Assisting in the negotiation of claims, protecting salvage and subrogation rights of the insurer.
- Maintaining proper records of claims and businesses generated.
- Develops, tracks & reviews business plan to meet individual performance targets.
- Work with a specific range of products.
Key Result Areas
Sales / Productivity:
- Develops, tracks & reviews business plan to meet individual performance targets.
- Engages in limited prospecting.
Personal Effectiveness:
- Accountable for service delivery through own efforts.
- Individually accountable for managing own time, tasks and output quality for periods of 1 day to a maximum of 3 months.
- Makes increased contributions by broadening individual skills.
- Collaborates effectively with others to achieve personal results.

Financial Advice:
- Provides advice in line with the customer value proposition & compliance framework.
- Works in specific allocated markets.
- Works with a specific range of products.
Relationship Building:
- Establish sound working relationships and maximizes opportunities with prospective clients.
- Uses appropriate interpersonal and communication techniques to gain client acceptance.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:-
- A First Degree or its equivalent
- Marketing skills in insurance, relevant insurance related qualification, relevant technical insurance skill, knowledge of relevant market conducts regulations and requirements will be an added advantage.
- Must be resident in Abuja.
REMUNERATION:-
- Market Related.
- Receives a base allowance and commission.
