Flight Operator at Zipline Nigeria – Pambegua, Kaduna
Zipline Nigeria is recruiting a Flight Operator at its distribution centre in Pambegua, Kaduna State. The role supports safe drone assembly, launch and recovery as the team scales deliveries of critical medical supplies.
Responsibilities
- Assemble drones safely and complete the required pre-flight checks before operations.
- Communicate with Zipline controllers to confirm readiness for flight.
- Launch drones and disassemble them after they return to the distribution centre.
- Work collaboratively with the distribution-centre team to support the scale-up of drone deliveries.
- Maintain focus, follow operating procedures and contribute to a safe working environment throughout daily flight operations.
Qualifications and requirements
- OND or HND in Engineering, Computer Science or Technology, Physics, Mathematics or a relevant field.
- Computer literacy and professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Zero to two years of experience in engineering or a similar environment is preferred.
- Hands-on approach, strong learning agility and careful attention to processes and detail.
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 23 kg and remain composed in high-pressure situations.
- Willingness and ability to work night shifts, weekends and occasional overtime as required.
